Kino Lorber’s all-new HDR/Dolby Vision Master – From a 4K Scan of 35mm Inter-positive is a wonderful representation of the 70mm Todd-AO production shot by Ernest Laszlo. The clarity is outstanding. The colors are vivid and deep, while blacks are deep and inky. The impressive level of depth gives the image a level of detail not seen in previous releases. Scratches or other blemishes are nonexistent.
There are two standard audio tracks on this release: English DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 and English DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0. the 5.1 track offers an outstanding audio experience. Active throughout, action beats are given a realistic quality. Despite not being a Dolby Atmos track, the audio could be mistaken for a more modern title. Dialogue is clean, clear, clear and concise throughout. There are no crackles, hisses, or other audio issues apparent.
English SDH subtitles are available.
